Lost Masterpiece Fragments Found in Argentina
In a Buenos Aires museum, on July 3, cuts from the 1927 Fritz Lang movie classic Metropolis were shown for the first time since it was cut by its original distributors. The find has astonished film historians and fans of the German sci-fi masterpiece.

Creative Pro: Designer-Built To-Do App Adds New Features & iPhone Version
TeuxDeux (say it out loud) is a straightforward to-do application that launched as browser-based app in December 2009. It's from the minds of "swissmiss" (Swiss-born and NYC-based designer Tina Roth Eisenberg), Cameron Koczon, and Evan Haas.
TeuxDeux now has the following capabilities:
• The layout is now fluid and will stretch as you widen your browser window. If you prefer the old view, go to Settings > Skinny View.
• In addition to moving forward in your to-do one day at a time, you can now go forward in five-day increments, and choose a specific date in the future.

IBS: IBS Training Day 16 May 2010
One of the declared aims of the Institute of Broadcast Sound is to provide high quality training for its members, and that's precisely what happened on a damp Sunday in mid-May 2010. This excellent all-day event was held at the superb new Oswald Morris building of the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, located just off the M40 motorway about six miles northwest of the M25. The course, supported in part by the Andy Hewitt Trust, was open to anyone in the industry, with discounted rates for IBS members and students. Around thirty five delegates attended the day - with several taking advantage of a special deal to attend the course and join the IBS at the same time.
